RMENA for Human Relief & Development – RMENA – Overview

RMENA for Human Relief & Development (RMENA) is a humanitarian, independent, non-profit, nongovernmental organization founded in 2013 that able works and access across Yemen.

  • RMENA provides direct assistance for conflict-affected populations, IDPs, host communities and vulnerable groups in the conflict areas, in partnership with international and Local NGOs, and with government authorities.

  • RMENA takes action during crisis situations to engage in other contexts where its competencies will add value. RMENA promotes durable solutions for conflict-affected populations and helps to restore services, education, economic, wellbeing and health.
  • RMENA has a headquarter office in Sana’a Gov, and has one sub-office in Hajjah Gov. and has more than 4 warehouses in Sanaa and Hajjah governorates which can support RMENA operations.
  • RMENA’s staff are well equipped and experienced to lead and manage the rapid response as it has done so for many years.
  • The organization has interventions in various sectors such as health, WASH, education, shelter, protection, capacity building, studies, research and evaluation … etc.

Our interventions are based on an integrated intervention strategy :

  • Study, research, analysis and evaluation
  • Support, institutional building, administrative development and – capacity building
  • Infrastructure rehabilitation and maintenance.
  • Implementation of integrative interventions (multiple sectors).
  • Promote community participation.

The Organization shall carry out its activities and works in pursuit of the following objectives:
  • To introduce and raise the awareness of the concepts and values of developmental, community and human work , And create a support and advocacy for development and humanitarian interventions environment.
  • To build the capacities of NGOs, the government officials, information, the private sector and the community cadres in developmental, community and human work.
  • -To Prepare, designe and manage developmental, community and human programs and projects in various fields like as education, health, food, water and hygiene, empowerment, good governance at different intervention phases, including preparedness, relief, refreshment, rehabilitation, reconstruction and development.
  • To make an effective strategic and developmental partnership with the stakeholders of official authorities, civil community, information, private sector, community cadres, and UN and global organizations that work in development and humanitarian.
  • Provide relief and support those affected in emergency situations and exceptional circumstances such as wars and natural disasters.
  • To unify the efforts and coordinate the interventions through networking, information exchange, and entities establishment that make a maximum impact.
  • The activity and positive interaction with the changes at the national, regional and international levels, in support of common human values and achieving equitable integration among peoples.
